Campus Cafe provides the ability to add custom links to the main menu. These links can point to any URL. For example, institutions you may wish to link to to their your library website or their academic calendar.

Controls which custom links faculty/staff see.

  1. Go to Admin > Custom Web Link Maintenance.

  2. For links for students , locate the links see under My Info, select a box next to CUSTOM_STU_LINK_1 to CUSTOM_STU_LINK_10 (these appear under the My Info category in the main menu)

  3. To the right of the link to update, check the select box

  5. Click Edit Selected.

    • Description: An internal description of the link. For example, Link to Our Library

    • Link URL: The full path to the URL. For example, yourschool.edu/library

    • Link Text: The text to display in the menu. For example, Library Resources for Students

  6. Click Update.

  7. Refresh the cache by navigating Go to Admin > Refresh Data Cache.

  8. A user 's permission group must permit the appearance of these links. Refer to Permissions documentation for how to adjust permissions.
    Student links are permissions 622-631 under the My Info module
    Faculty/staff links are permissions 612-621 under the Faculty module. In addition, the user must have been added as a faculty/staff member (All Users > Add Person/Org)A clear of the user's browser cache may be necessary may need to clear their browser’s cache to see the new or updated links.
