Status codes are used to record information regarding a student each semester. For example, leave of absence, dean's list, honors, academic probation, and other notations about regarding the student’s academic record.
To apply a status to one student

. You can optionally configure a status code to appear on the transcripts of students for whom you apply the code.
Semester status codes are attached to a student’s degree level, allowing you to differentiate actions that occurred during different parts of a student’s time at your institution. For example, you can attached dean’s list to a student’s undergraduate degree level, then, when they become a graduate student, attach graduate fellowship to their graduate degree level.
You can apply a status code to an individual student or to a group of students.

Apply a status to one student
You can apply a status to an individual students, giving you flexibility to accommodate your business practices. For example, you want to record who the student government selected as class president.
Go to the student’s profile.
Go to Person Selected > Status History.
In Semester select the academic period for which the status applies.
In the Degree Level box, choose the degree level select the student’s academic career to apply the status to.
In the Status Code box, choose select the status.
Click Add.
Optionally in Status Date enter the date the Status status began (will appears on transcript if code configured to show on transcript).
Optionally in Status End Date enter the date the Status ended (will not status ceased or will cease (appears on transcript if code configured to show on transcript).
Optionally enter a transcript comment (must be Transcript Comment (appears on transcript if code configured to show in Custom Controlon transcript).
Click Save.

You may need to apply the same status code to a group of students. For example, you want to record dean’s list for all students who earned a 3.8 or above last semester. Using the Student Finder

Using filters and criteria, return the population for which to apply the status

, you can identify these students and then apply the appropriate status.
Go to Filters > Students.
Use the filters to select the students whom the status will apply. For example, you may use the Single Semester and Single Semester GPA filters to find all students with a GPA of 3.8 or above in a specific semester. Alternatively, you can import a list of student ID numbers if you’ve captured your student group outside of Campus Cafe.
Select (check) the student(s) to apply the status.
Click the +Status buttonChoose For Page or > For All.
In the Status Code drop down choose select the status. For example, dean’s list.
In the Semester drop down choose the semester select the academic period for the status.
In the Degree Level drop down choose the degree level select the academic career associated with the status and students. For example, undergraduate.
Optionally in Status Date enter the Status Date
Optionally enter the Status End Date
Optionally Enter a Transcript Comment
Click Submit

Find students with specific status
Using the Student Finder you can find all students with a specific status. For example, you could identify all students who had a status of leave of absence between two dates.
Student Statuses may be searched in the Student finder using Student Status Code, and Status Start/End Dates. Status Start and End Dates each have two fields to allow for creating a range for each date value, so, looking for a specific status, or any status (if status code field is left blank), that started or ended between a set of dates.
