About multiple inquiries and inquiry history

Someone may inquire multiple times to your institution. Campus Cafe displays summary information about the most recent inquiry on the individual's profile under the Admissions tab and stores information about past inquiries on the inquiry history screen.

On the Prospect Finder only the most recent inquiry date will display. Historical inquires are not searchable from a finder and can’t be changed.

View someone’s past inquiries

View past inquires

The inquiry history screen doesn’t show the current inquiry. It only includes previous inquiries. You can’t change past inquiries.

  1. Go to the individual’s profile.

  2. Go to Person Selected > Inq History.

  3. Next to the past inquiry, click the magnifying glass.

Merging information from different inquiries

When an individual inquires, he or she may provide information that is different or additional to what is already in the individual's Campus Cafe record. For example, a student may respond to an inquiry form with gender information that was not previously part of the individual's record. In general, Campus Cafe will add any missing biographical data while preserving any original biographical information unless it is explicitly different in the most recent inquiry. At that point, you can decide whether to retain the original information or overwrite it with some or all of the new information. Refer to the Holding Table documentation for details on merging inquiries.
