About time conflict overrides

Based on permissions, Campus Cafe will permit or prevent students registering students for two classes that meet at the same time. To always allow registration for two classes that meet at the same time, configure a time conflict override may be configured.

Permission #476 is required to access this function.

In the example below, a student registered for MTH101 would be permitted to register for STA102 even though STA102 meets at the same time as MTH101. However, the reverse would not be true unless a second record is created where STA102 is set as the Course Number and MTH101 set as the Override Course Number.

  1. Navigate to Registrar > Time Conflict Override

  2. Click New Record.

  3. Click New Record.

    • Semester: The term for which the override applies.

    • Course Number: The complete course number for the first course in the group (e.g. MTH101).

    • Course Section: The section number for the first course in the group (e.g. 3).

    • Override Course Number: The complete course number for the second course in the group (e.g. STA102).

    • Override Course Section: The section number of for the second course in the group (e.g. 5) .

  4. Click Create.

  5. Repeat the above steps flipping the courses, so students who register initially for the second course can also register for the first course.

  6. Click New Record.

    • Semester: The term for which the override applies.

    • Course Number: The complete course number
