You can also assign multiple plans of study to the same student. For example, if the student is pursuing multiple majors or wants to try “what if” scenarios such as what if I changed majors, studied abroad, took a leave, etc. Although students can have multiple plans, only one is considered “active” at a time. If you select a group of plans from the Student Finder, the active one will be shown.

  1. Go to Filters > Students.

  2. Use the Filters to return the students you wish to associate with the plan of study.

  3. Click Plan of Study > For All.

  4. Select Inactivate Plans.

  5. Click Process.

View plans of study for many students

You may want to view plans of study for many students at once. Campus Cafe lets you select a group of students from the Student Finder and then return a list of links to their plans.

Note

People with this access may also associate or inactivate plans of students for the group of students selected. Use caution when providing this access. You may wish to limit people to returning only students for which they are their advisor. This is controlled by permission #917.

  1. Go to Filters > Students.

  2. Use the filters to select the group of students to view plans.

  3. Click +Plan of Study > For All.

  4. Select Run Plans.

  5. Click Process.

  6. The students you selected appear. If they have an active plan of study, a link to the plan appears. Click the link to view the plan. Students without plans are noted.

  • For each course requirement not yet completed, working your way right across each row, you can change the semester, course provided the course exists in your course catalog, required credits, requirement category and minimum quality points.

  • You can add requirements by clicking the plus and adding the semester, course provided the course exists in your course catalog, required credits, requirement category and minimum quality points.

  • You can delete a requirement by clicking the minus sign next to the requirement.
