About the GPA processor

To ensure system performance, Campus Cafe calculates credit totals, GPA and class level (freshman, sophomore, junior, senior) used in the Student Finder through a scheduled overnight process. This means the credit totals, GPAs and class levels on the Student Finder results are not real time and instead reflect data from the prior day. The credit totals and GPA presented on a transcript will always be real time. 

The GPA processor also updates the part-time code on student session data if you’ve configured Custom Control GPA_PART_TIME to Y.

Launch GPA Processor

Run the GPA processor

  1. Go to Admin > Job Management.

  2. Click GPA Processor Job.

  3.  Do not navigate away from the page and let the process run. Your browser tab should have a spinning status symbol, the page will refresh and stop spinning when fully calculated

The processor only calculates GPAs for students enrolled in 200 semester codes prior to the Reg. System Control Semester. To recalculate GPAs for students attending prior to these semesters, temporarily set the Reg Control Current semester to the last semester the student was enrolled for and manually run the GPA Processor; then change the Reg Control semester back to the current semester.
