Set up financial aid holdsÂ
Prevent auto packaging
When you run the auto packaging process, Campus Cafe checks to see if the student has a hold you’ve configured as a financial aid hold prior to packaging the student. If the student has a hold, Campus Cafe doesn’t package the student until you remove the hold.
The hold must be within the Academic or Financial hold category.
Go to Admin > Custom Control.
In Search enter FA_PKGHOLD.
Click the pencil.
In Parameter Value 1 enter, separated by commas, the hold codes of Financial holds that block auto packaging. For example, if you had a Verification hold with code VER and a Professional Judgement Required hold with code PJ, you’d enter VER, PJ.
In Parameter Value 2 enter, separated by commas, the hold codes of Academic holds that block auto packaging.
Click Save. Students with any of these holds are now blocked from being packaged through auto packaging.
Prevent COD export
You can tell Campus Cafe not to include students with certain holds on your COD export file. These holds must be within the Financial or Academic hold categories.
Go to Admin > Custom Control.
In Search enter FA_PKGHOLD.
Click the pencil.
In Parameter Value 3 enter, separated by commas, the hold codes of Financial holds that block students from inclusion in the export file.
In Parameter Value 4 enter, separated by commas, the hold codes of Academic holds that block that block students from inclusion in the export file.
Click Save. Students with any of these holds are now blocked from being packaged through auto packaging.
Financial Aid COD Export block can take place based on Academic and Financial holds.Â
Inserting a comma separated list of Hold Codes into Custom Control FA_PKGHOLD 1-3 for Financial holds and/or 1-4 for Academic Holds, if a student has any listed hold type on their account auto-packaging will be blocked.
Next steps
Once holds are created and custom controls are set, you can apply the hold to students.
