Academics: Find Students by GPA
Find students with a specific GPA or those with GPAs under or over a certain number.
You need to award these students an academic honor or place them on academic probation. Or perhaps you need to report on GPA distribution or frequency.
Considerations
Are all grades for the semester recorded?
Do you have access to all students?
Start with a pre-built filter
This filter updates overnight or when you launch the GPA processor.
Use this as a starting point. You can add fields to further narrow students returned.
If you don’t see this filter your institution may have renamed or modified it. You can build it from the example below or open a Campus Cafe support ticket and request it.
Go to Filters > Students.
In All Users select ZCC Students by GPA.
Click Filters.
Next to Single Semester click the three horizontal lines, select a semester and click Apply.
Use the Single Semester GPA boxes to set a minimum and/or maximum semester GPA. Below are two common examples.
Click Submit.
Add criteria
You can further narrow your results by selecting Add Fields, searching for the field name and selecting it.
Degree majors to narrow the results to students enrolled in certain major(s).
Class level to narrow the results to students only at a certain class standing such as freshman or sophomore.
