Admissions: Find Deposited (Yielded) Applicants
Find all applicants who have deposited - agreed to attend - your institution starting a specific semester.
You need to report numbers of applicants who plan to attend your institution. This is often known as applicants you’ve yielded and, if you require a deposit from the applicant to hold their spot, applicants who have deposited.
Considerations
Do you want to see all deposited applicants or filter on:
Admissions site
Academic program (major)
Start with a pre-built filter
Use this as a starting point. You can add fields to further narrow applicants returned.
If you don’t see this filter your institution may have renamed or modified it. You can build it from the example below or open a Campus Cafe support ticket and request it.
The prospect finder shows only the status of an applicant’s most recent application. For example, James applied to your institution’s undergraduate program three years ago, was accepted and deposited and is presently enrolled. He applies to your graduate program but he hasn’t deposited. The prospect finder will show James in the applied stage. You won’t see him as deposited, even if you search for students deposited for the semester he started his undergraduate career. To find students like this and garner complete numbers, use an SSRS base report instead.
Go to Filters > Prospects.
In All Users select ZZ DEPOSITED APPLICANTS.
Click Filters.
Next to Adm Ent Sem click the three horizontal lines, select the semester(s) the applicants applied to and click Apply.
Click Submit.
Add criteria
You can further narrow your results by selecting Add Fields, searching for the field name and selecting it.
Consider adding these fields if you need to further constrain your results.
Admissions Site to narrow the results to only applicants deposited to a specific site. Your sites may be physical such as different campuses or program-based such as a day program and a night program.
Accept Major to narrow the results to only applicants deposited to specific academic programs.
Build results
You can show additional information alongside the results by selecting Column Visibility, searching for the field name and selecting it.
Accept Date to show when you admitted the applicant.
Counselor Code to show the admissions counselor assigned to the applicant.
Deposit Date to show when the applicant placed their deposit / committed to attend.
Email to show the applicant’s email.
Form Used to show which application the applicant completed.
Transfer Code to show if the individual is a first-time college student or coming from another institution. This is based on your coding of the applicant.
SSRS base report for additional data
All historical applicants
The prospect finder shows only an individual’s most recent application. This is useful when you are working on recruiting and admitting applicants because it ensures you’re looking only at the relevant application. However, if you need to report on historical data such as number of applicants who deposited for a past academic period, you’ll want to use base reports.
Go to Faculty/Staff > Base Reports > Admissions > All Applicants.
In Application Semester select an academic period.
In Select Progress Code(s) select the progress codes that correspond with deposited. This is usually P - Deposited.
Click View Report.
