Enforce prerequisites for specific permission groups

To force users in a permission group to respect pre- and corequisites, adjust their permission groups accordingly.

  • Permission 281 under the My Info permission module. Set to NA to prevent adding classes that require pre- or corequisites if the student does not have them.

  • Permission 526 under the My Info permission module. Do not set to NA for the prerequisite message needed error to appear when classes are added through My Info.

  • Permission 562 under the Student permission module. Do not set to NA for the prerequisite message needed error to appear when classes are added administratively

  • Permission 563 under the Student permission module. Set to NA to prevent adding classes that require pre- or corequisites if the student does not have them when classes are added administratively.

Prerequisite rule for in-progress courses

You may have a class (e.g. MTH 201) that requires students take another class first (e.g. MTH 101). When students register for MTH 201, they are presently enrolled in MTH 101. You can tell Campus Cafe to assume the student will pass MTH 101 and register for MTH 201.

To do so, you must have a blank grade on quality points with In Progress selected.
