About Administrative Class Registration Add, Drop, Swap

Users, including advisors, with the requisite permissions, may register students for classes and adjust their class schedule.

Access the Schedule of Classes

  1. Navigate Go to the student student’s record.

  2. Navigate Go to Person Selected > Register for For Classes.

  3. If configured, accept the enrollment message.

  4. Choose a semester Choose and, if your institution has them, choose a sub - semester. (Optional) Note: Sub-semester may not appear depending on institutional setup and permissions.

  5. Click Submit.

Add a Class

  1. Access the schedule of classes by completing steps listed above under Access the Schedule of Classes.

  2. Click Add next Next to the class you are registering for which to register the student in, click Add. 

  3. The class will now appear appears on the bottom half of the screen indicating the registration is complete.

  2. Click Drop next to the class you are removing from the student's schedule.

Important:

Dropping a class removes the class from the student's transcript. To show the class on the student's transcript, the student must be assigned a withdrawal grade for the course. (Withdrawal grades are configured on the quality points maintenance screen.) If a withdrawal grade is desired, Campus Cafe recommends editing the class enrollment instead of dropping the class. Click Edit next to the class, enter a Withdrawal Date, in Final Grade choose a withdrawal grade and click Save.

Note

Custom Control WEBDROPLGC values 1 and 2 determine whether a drop record is preserved or whether the entire record of the class is immediately deleted. Campus Cafe recommends the drop record be preserved in order for billing, LMS connections and other functions to work.

  1. Access the schedule of classes by completing the steps above under Access the Schedule of Classes.

  2. Click Drop next to the class you are removing from the student's schedule.

  3. Next to the class to unenroll the student, click Drop.

Swap a Class

Swapping a class drops the class selected and replaces it with another. A class that has already dropped cannot be swapped.

  1. Access the schedule of classes by completing the steps above under Access the Schedule of Classes.

  2. Click replace next Next to the class you are removing from the student's scheduleto swap, click Replace.

  3. In the upper part of the screen, click Select next to the class you are adding to the student's schedule. to add, click Select.

  4. The class will appear appears on the bottom half of the screen indicating the swap is complete.
