About the student financial aid status portal
Applicants and students can view information about their financial aid through the financial aid status portal.
Prerequisites
Set up cost of attendance.
Award students.
Required permissions

Profile
The Profile tab gives general contact information.
Cost of attendance
The Cost of Attendance tab gives the set COA breakdown of the student's current program for the current year.
Estimated award amounts
The Estimated Award Amounts tab gives students the overall maximum packaged amounts for the year; this also shows the student's payment plan if applicable.Â
Forms
The forms tab shows Activity Tracking Workflows that are marked with the Missing Document category for students to upload. You can create database triggers to notify financial aid staff when students upload a document
Activity workflows not marked with the Missing Document category will be viewable under the student's normal Activity Tracking areas.
Estimated financing
The Estimated Financing tab shows two buttons: Estimated Financing and Subsidized Loan Need Determination. Clicking Estimated Financing essentially returns the student’s Award Letter. The Subsidized Loan Need Determination shows the student the need calculation methodology.
If you’re a school in California, you can add the California state grant CAL to the Sub Need determination.
Go to Admin > Custom Control.
In Search enter FA_LETTER.
Next to sequence number 3, click the pencil.
In Parameter Value 2 enter Y and click Save.
