About custom menu links

Campus Cafe provides the ability to add custom links to the main menu. These links can point to any URL. For example, you may wish to link to to your library website or your academic calendar.

Prerequisites

• None.

Required permissions

Add or change a custom menu link

1. Go to Admin > Custom Web Link.

2. For links students see under My Info in Search enter CUSTOM_STU_LINK. For links faculty see under Faculty/Staff in Search enter CUSTOM_FAC_LINK.

3. Next to a specific link select (check) the box. CUSTOM_STU_LINK_1 is the first link, CUSTOM_STU_LINK_2 is the second link and so forth.
   
   

4. Click Edit Selected.
   
   

   • Description: An internal description of the link. For example, Link to Our Library

   • Link URL: The full path to the URL. For example, yourschool.edu/library

   • Link Text: The text to display in the menu. For example, Library Resources for Students

5. Click Update.

6. Go to Admin > Refresh Data Cache.

7. You may need to clear your browser’s cache to see the new or updated links.
