Students considering changing their major may wish to see how their past classes apply to the major they’re considering. The what if report will show them this based on the degree audit.
Because your curriculum may change over time, the what if report also allows student to select a catalog year.
You can also determine which majors students can for which students can run a what if. This is useful if you are, say, teaching out a major and will no longer offer it.
Prerequisites
Configure the degree audit.

Allow what if for major
You must tell Campus Cafe which majors for which a what if may be generated. This can be useful if you have majors you don’t allow students to switch into or are phasing out and not accepting new students.
Go to Admin > Majors.
Click Submit.
Next to the major to allow click the pencil.
Select Web Deg. Audit Alt. Major.
Click Save.
