About Balance Sheet/P&L Captions

Balance sheet/P&L captions page allows you to group general ledger accounts into categories and create subtitle lines on accounting base reports.

Prerequisites

• Create cost centers.

• Create general ledger accounts.

Required permissions

Add line

1. Go to Accounting > Balance Sheet/P&L Captions.

2. Click New Record.

   • Line Number: The general ledger line number.

   • Sub Line Number: The general ledger sub line number. Note entering 999 will create a subtotal that sums all lines of the same line number.

   • GL Title: Text to describe the general ledger account.

3. Click Create.

Change line

1. Go to Accounting > Balance Sheet/P&L Captions.

2. Next to the line to change, select the checkbox.

3. Click Edit Selected.

4. Make desired changes.

5. Click Update.
